Using the Internet for Cell Phone Number Traces

One of the more frustrating things that you may be dealing with is getting cell phone calls on a regular basis and not knowing who it is that his calling. Not only is this something that is annoying, having your phone call going off constantly but it also is using up your minutes. There’s no doubt that if you are receiving these phone calls the only thing that you would like to have happen is for them to stop.

Of course, there are other reasons why you may be concerned about receiving telephone calls as well. A good example of this is if your significant other is hiding his or her cellular telephone from you, not allowing you to see the call history. If numbers are regularly showing up on your cell phone bill but they are not on the physical phone, your suspicions may be justified.

The unfortunate thing is, the majority of people who end up looking for cellular numbers on the Internet just end up paying somebody in order to find the information for them. This is one of the most convenient ways to do it but whenever I’m looking for a number, I like to take a few minutes in order to find out if I can find it for myself. Here are three methods that I used to find telephone numbers.

One of the first places that I stop is on Google, simply because they usually have the information I’m looking for. Although it is not always going to be possible to find cellular telephone numbers on Google, it is one of your best choices. The reason why this is the case is because Google can do a reverse telephone lookup for you every time you search for a telephone number. Even if they aren’t able to get you results from their database, they may be able to figure out where the telephone number is listed on the Internet. This can give you an idea of who is calling.

Another method that I regularly use is to go to one of the volunteer directories that are on the Internet in order to see if the number was left there. Volunteer directories are websites where people can go and leave their personal information, including cellular numbers. There are tens of thousands of people who have done this but the vast majority have not. Even so, it is worth taking a couple minutes to see if you get a hit.

One other thing that I tried to do is to look at some of the other reverse phone directories that are online. Although most of these are tapped directly into the same database as Google, it is possible that they may have supplementary results in their index. I make sure that I don’t spend any more than a few minutes doing this, but it can result in success from time to time.

If all else fails, you can always use one of the services that looks up the information for you. The cost is only going to be a few dollars and it is one way that you can be guaranteed to have the information back to you accurately within a day or two.
