A great place to showcase interesting paintings, sculptures, or other crafts is at a local art show. It is an easy way to expose your work to a large number of people at once. It can be difficult to find a way to get your work into an exhibit or showcase of any sort. Art shows can be big or small and it is important to remember that even the slightest exposure will be beneficial in some way.

If the craft you take part in is jewelry making, there are a few things that will make your work more appealing to people. The quality of your craft is most important. It is imperative that you are working with materials that are safe against skin. Nickel is one metal used in a lot of alloys that can be irritating to peoples skin. Try to avoid metals that might cause allergic reactions or that will turn. If you make a quality product, you are more likely to find individuals who become loyal customers. Also it is a good idea that if you use leather cords in any of your jewelry to make the same piece with a metal band or cord in case the interested buyer has an aversion to leather.

It is also important to make sure your jewelry is unique. It should have some sort of quality that makes it almost irresistible to people. Using unusual colors in your pieces is one way to definitely catch peoples eye. Unusual colors or materials in your work is one way to stand out and in turn sell more jewelry. Jewelry made with recycled materials or natural materials have become fashionable. When thinking about using natural materials, the trendy things seem to be turquoise and topaz lately. There have been lots of jewelers at craft fairs with pieces that use bottle caps and recycled paper as charms or beads in their work. Also, if you put interesting charms on your work, it is sure to make people more interested in purchasing. Jewelry is always a conversation starter, so seeing a necklace that has a brightly colored, interesting stone as the main charm will stop someone, which is once step closer to buying it.

Creating jewelry sets is an easy way to create gift ideas for individuals looking at your work. By putting together a necklace, bracelet, and earring set, you have created a set you can sell as a gift set around the holidays or separate all the time.

If you do create homemade jewelry, a showcase, like those mentioned above, would be a simple and successful way to display and sell your work. To find a way to showcase your work, look into available local art galleries. You will also want to look into local craft fairs that might be happening. Though it may seem strange, you should talk to local store owners about stocking your work or just letting you use their space for a showcase for a small percentage of the profit you make.
